Janette Lawson is the principal and sole practitioner of Occupational Therapy South West.

Janette has had a strong interest in people, health and activity participation since childhood.  She completed her degree Bachelor of Applied Science, Occupational Therapy at LaTrobe University, Melbourne, Victoria, followed by years of experience working in acute and rehabilitation hospitals, and community services in Australia, USA and New Zealand.  This has led to a broad and deep understanding of the path following injury, disability and illness and the importance of activity engagement and participation.

Janette has lived and worked in Western Australia since 2006, servicing south west WA since 2007 and based in the south west since 2011.

Janette is intrigued by the function of the human brain, people’s capacity to improve after injury to the brain, and the resilience and resourcefulness of people faced with trauma, change and challenge.
